Welcome back to ScrapbookinGal’s Blog Bits. This weeks Blog Bits include several giveaways and of course some new How-Tos for you to check out. There are also some New Products out there that are must-sees for all of us serious scrappers. Have a good weekend and I’ll be back Monday with some more cool ideas and information.
- On the Hero Arts Win-A-Day contest, winner Deborah Nolan has some great cards, color palettes, and sketches she shares with all of us. They are so cute! Don’t forget to leave a comment, (today only) for a chance to win a HA Craft Apron! Woo Hoo! Good Luck everybody.
- If you follow Tim Holtz, (no not stalking, just following his blog, etc.), then you need to go see the video he has posted of his trip to Europe plus read all about it as well.
- Now, we can’t forget to visit Cuttlebug Challenges! This week it was Embossing Acetate. Somehow I missed out on the time frame for submissions but I will have a tutorial posted this weekend. I will show what I made from the acetate that my Cuttlebug Embossing folder-Swirls came in. I love recycling but this goes a step further and saves me a ton of money on expensive acetate album pages, etc. and it looks so good! I LOVE MY CUTTLEBUG!!
- If you absolutely love your Cat’s Eye Chalk Ink, then it is essential that you go over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog. Designer Kim Hughes changes the look of white flock paper. This girl is some serious talent.
- Head over to Creativity Prompt blog and do the Journaling Prompt. This week is about Childhood Dreams. How great is that?
- Okay, just to get us caught up with the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog, just this once I will post a link to them twice, (I am breaking my rule of never link to the same blog twice in my Blog Bits Column. Never say never!) Anyway, this is so cool you will be glad I chose to do this. It is a must above all musts to see this Burnished Velvet design done with glitter and a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. It’s awesome and so easy too.
- Studio Calico something is giving away 29 sets of stamps that Ali Edwards designed for Technique Tuesday. The winners will be announced on the 28th.
- Need a little Inspiration? Pay a visit to the Simple Things blog (Jennifer Stewart’s blog) and it won’t be long until you are organizing and creating once again.
Happy Scrapbooking and Creating!

Scrapbooking & Photography Tips, How-To’s, & Papercraft Projects.
Welcome to my new Scrapping Blog, mostly about Scrapbooking, Photography, Paper Crafts and of course How-To's, Tips, and Free Projects for you to try. Some of my best photos and photo tips are shared here as well.
I am a Baby Boomer and I Love to scrap.
I Love my family and to scrapbook my family memories. I started scrapbooking before scrapbooking was 'cool' in 1999. My goodness it changes so fast and it is hard to stay up to date on all the newest trends. I have just started making cards for the instant gratification! Much faster and a smaller canvas then scrapbook pages. I still have to do a page or two here and there because I miss working with the photos and the journaling. I would love to be on a Design Team someday. Wouldn't that be fun?
I love to read and recently read Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult, Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski.
I love to listen to music, crochet, photography, walk my dog Sonny, a black cocker spaniel, and spend time with my children.
The Scrapbookin' Gal,
Eileen
