  1. Finish my fiction Novel I started last Fall. I have 8,000 plus words. And of course if I finish it I want to publish it. That would be so cool.
  2. Go fly fishing in Montana
  3. Own some land, other than my cemetery plot :)
  4. Become a Grandma, not long now because my daughter is getting married in August! Woo Hoo!
  5. Open a bookstore/scrapbooking store
  6. Own a Red Ford Mustang, old or new, doesn’t matter.
  7. Ride my bike 100 miles in one day. (Or ride the Katy Trail across Missouri in a week) or both!!
  8. Have one of my photographs published.
  9. Go on a spiritual retreat.
  10. Meet the Pope
  11. Give to a charity — anonymously.
  12. Drive across America from coast to coast, (preferably in the Red Mustang above).
  13. Go to Walden Pond and read Thoreau while drifting in a canoe.

What’s on YOUR Bucket List????

Thurday’s Thirteen: 13 suggestions my Children (in college) gave for my TT

  • Posted on March 12, 2009 at 7:40 am
  1. t13-74Write thirteen things that make me Happy
  2. Write thirteen things that make me not so Happy, (My daughter didn’t want me to name thirteen things that piss me off. She is always politically correct.)
  3. Write thirteen things I want to do this Summer, (I did this last year when there was only a week left of Summer and I realized all the things I hadn’t done.)
  4. Write thirteen things I am grateful for.
  5. Write thirteen things I want to do before I die. A bucket list! (I love this idea and if you haven’t seen the movie yet, you should. It is really good. She is making a bucket list as well with one of her friends. Very cool!)

I know this is only 5 of 13 but, I haven’t heard from my son yet, he is still in bed asleep. He’s only had 24 hours to respond and he lives with me. My daughter and I talked on the phone last night and she immediately started rattling off what to write about. Now, in all fairness to my son, he did work late last night delivering Pizza so…we may have to wait until next week for his suggestions. I may have to come up with the rest of the ideas for this week.

Here is what I came up with:

  1. Write thirteen things I love about being over 50!
  2. Write thirteen things I hate about being over 50!
  3. Write thirteen things I love about your son.
  4. Write thirteen things I love about your daughter.
  5. Write thirteen of my favorite deserts.
  6. Write thirteen of my favorite main dishes.
  7. Write thirteen things I love about owning a dog.
  8. Write thirteen things I hate about owning a dog.

  1. PAPER. Lots and Lots of Paper. All paper, prints, solids, stripes, polka-dots, handmade, vellum, thin, thick, smooth, lumpy, textured, sleek, and all paper in between. Scrapbooking wouldn’t be near as much fun with all the pretty, touchable, tactical, texturized paper.
  2. PHOTOS. Digitial, film, prints, filed, old, new, negatives, slides, all the lovely photographs we have taken from generation to generation.
  3. CUTTERS. Scissors, die-cuts, all things that cut the PAPER and PHOTOS into the shapes we want.
  4. STAMPING. Rubber, clear, acrylic, funny, funky, crazy, embossing.
  5. STICKERS. 3D, frilly, funky, funny, letters, words, flowers, fonts.
  6. CHIPBOARD. Grunge board, decorated, painted, paper glued on, trimmed.
  7. COLORING. Pencils, pens, painter pens, crayons, watercolor pencils, watercolor paints, inking, ink dabbers.

  9. ADHESIVE. Glue Sticks, Herma Tabs, mega and mini dots, Dotto’s, double-sided tape, strips.
  10. JOURNALING. Record-keeping, writing, poetry, quotes, history, memories recorded.
  11. ARCHIVING. Preserving for future generations.
