Scrapbookin’ Gal’s Blog Bits for March 20, 2009

  1. Tim Holtz new stamps are available Eclectic Paperie online now!! Woo Hoo! They are awesome by Stampers Anonymous. You must see them, he has gone from king of grunge to almost the dark side.  Perfect for altering books, postcards, tags, etc. If you are into ATC’s these are a must have. He will have videos soon on how to use them. Can’t wait for that.
  2. Odd Bird Planet has put together some awesome mini scrapping kits with stamps, paper, embellishments, etc. They are very reasonably priced.
  3. Okay, are you ready for this? Check out this Alphabet Wall at Pink Paislee! I am so jealous I can’t stand it. Clever idea and if I wasn’t renting I would probably go for that. Cool Idea!
  4. I had a little too much fun making my son’s graduation Thank You Cards using punches, but it gets worse. Here is a site that you can make just about anything with punches and Kenna’s Memory Treasures shows you how. The Punch Art site is awesome! You can learn how to make this “Egg”stra Special Easter Layout, or try your hand at a darling Pencil Ruler Border on your next scrapbook page. These are so easy to do and the instructions are very clear. Have Fun!
  5. There is a blog I discovered this week that doesn’t have a darn thing to do with Scrapbooking but it inspired me just the same. Go and visit the Farm Chicks for a while and I think you will be just as delighted at I was.
  6. If you are looking for shapes to cut out and add to your LOs, check out this link to Shape-Book Patterns. From Apples to Umbrellas and everything in between you will find the shape you need for all your creating needs.

Happy Scrapbooking and Creating!

ScrapbookinGal’s Blog Bits for February 27, 2009

blog

Hello Everyone! Welcome back to ScrapbookinGal’s Blog Bits. This weeks Blog Bits include several giveaways and of course some new How-Tos for you to check out. There are also some New Products out there that are must-sees for all of us serious scrappers. Have a good weekend and I’ll be back Monday with some more cool ideas and information.

  1. On the Hero Arts Win-A-Day contest, winner Deborah Nolan has some great cards, color palettes, and sketches she shares with all of us. They are so cute! Don’t forget to leave a comment, (today only) for a chance to win a HA Craft Apron! Woo Hoo! Good Luck everybody.
  2. If you follow Tim Holtz, (no not stalking, just following his blog, etc.), then you need to go see the video he has posted of his trip to Europe plus read all about it as well.
  3. Now, we can’t forget to visit Cuttlebug Challenges! This week it was Embossing Acetate. Somehow I missed out on the time frame for submissions but I will have a tutorial posted this weekend. I will show what I made from the acetate that my Cuttlebug Embossing folder-Swirls came in. I love recycling but this goes a step further and saves me a ton of money on expensive acetate album pages, etc. and it looks so good! I LOVE MY CUTTLEBUG!!
  4. If you absolutely love your Cat’s Eye Chalk Ink, then it is essential that you go over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog. Designer Kim Hughes changes the look of white flock paper. This girl is some serious talent.
  5. Head over to Creativity Prompt blog and do the Journaling Prompt. This week is about Childhood Dreams. How great is that?
  6. Okay, just to get us caught up with the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog, just this once I will post a link to them twice, (I am breaking my rule of never link to the same blog twice in my Blog Bits Column. Never say never!) Anyway, this is so cool you will be glad I chose to do this. It is a must above all musts to see this Burnished Velvet design done with glitter and a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. It’s awesome and so easy too.
  7. Studio Calico something is giving away 29 sets of stamps that Ali Edwards designed for Technique Tuesday. The winners will be announced on the 28th.
  8. Need a little Inspiration? Pay a visit to the Simple Things blog (Jennifer Stewart’s blog) and it won’t be long until you are organizing and creating once again.

Happy Scrapbooking and Creating!
