Ripple Afghan days 5, 6

My dog Sonny (on the left) wanted to get on the blanket so bad. He was a good boy and waited until I took the picture, then he jumped up.
My ripple is coming right along. It is really wide and I wanted it that way so my new son-in-law could wrap it around him. He is kind of a big guy! I’m having so much fun making this one. I need to buy more yarn though. I’m almost out already.

Last week I was working on this ripple afghan for my new son-in-law. I was pretty far into it when I noticed one of my points were smaller than the others. So, I posted it on flickr and my good friends there not only pointed out where I had gone wrong, (way back in the beginining), but also helped me get started on a new one.

I even like the colors better. I want to thank BrendaS and Mrs Twins for all the help they gave me with my dilemma.
I came home from work last night and took Sonny for a walk. We always walk down to the mailbox and pick up the mail after work. I was so excited when I opened my mail box and there was a soft little package. I didn’t dare dream it was my Crystal Palace Mochi Plus yarn from Jimmy Beans, since I just placed the order on Friday. Well, to my surprise, there it was! All the most beautiful, colorful, rainbow, that could possibly delight a person was wrapped up in three little balls! So I took lots of pictures of it trying to capture the color without any luck whatsoever. It is more beautiful in person. Then I had to make something out of it immediately. It was too beautiful not to.
While I watched Dancing with the Stars, I worked on the one skein scarf from Patons free patterns. It is coming along nicely and so is Dancing with the Stars.
Who did you vote for? I voted for poor Chuck, the underdog and boxer. Of course Donny blew them all away which isn’t really fair, he has been an entertainer all his life. You know he could win. He has been dancing since he was 8 years old. What are the judges thinking? Personally, I’m a little burned out on Donny and won’t be voting for him. Probably because I grew up watching him and got sick of him back then. Oh well, we shall see what happens tonight when the women compete. It should be interesting for sure.
